Looks like a good deal to me, Robert.
Just make sure your mobo supports AGP4x to get the most out of the card.

DVD decoding on an 8500LE? That doesn't make sense if it's a hardware decoder...
Both cards will output the exact same picture, if you turn hardware acceleration on in your DVD player, both cards support this, and NVidia's is newer. The 4200 is a WAY better deal for doing everything you want than the 8500LE. Faster, more features.

I'm not positive, but I think GF4 cards have DVD decoding (HW).

No no no! Why is everyone so impatient? Wait until the NV30 comes out unless you're absolutely desperate for a card right now... Even if you can't afford one of the new cards from NVIDIA the prices will drop when they beat the crap out of everything else on the market for a while. I'm using a Radeon 8500 64 meg and I'm real happy with it. Isn't the 8500LE 128 meg but slower? I would tend to agree that the GeForce 4 Ti4200 is probably the best card to buy in that price range right this moment. Anyway. if you really have to buy now, you're not going to get good prices from Best Buy. Check out http://www.newegg.com if you value your dollars .
Edit: Looks like you beat me to the punch Dom heh

Best Buy actually does have a pretty good deal on a Geforce 4 4400 this week for $250.00 w/ a $50.00 mail in rebate.

Yeah!
newegg.com is the only place to buy from, help support the place with the best prices and great customer service!
If you want a $150 card, get the Hercules 8500 with 128mb and ramsinks!
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...ry=1282&DEPA=1
I'm getting mine in about 1/2 hour!
oh boy oh boy!
