Chipset?!?!
How do i find out what model number my chipset is? I know i have an SIS chipset but i dont know what model number is and i dont want to tear the heatsink off any idea on how to tell?

Maybe SiS has a utility as well.

Don't look at the northbridge. Just look at the southbridge. Those usually don't have heatsinks, so you can read them easily.

use the above or you might want to check this
its a small utility called WCPUID V3
IIRC unpack and use it no need to install it and its free... check it 1st if it'll work with XP.
