Boot up problem

Ok, I just ordered some new ram for my machine. I installed it, went to boot it up and now I get nothing but a black screen. I can hear the machine booting up at first but then, I don't hear any "crunching" and I get no video. So I thought it might have been the ram so I took out the new ram and put my old ram back in. I went to boot it up and still no video. I had the computer unplugged when I installed and uninstalled the ram so it shouldn't have shorted anything out. My video card that came with the computer is integrated so I tried a different video card in one of the motherboard slots and it still didn't work. Has my motherboard gone bad? It has a green light on the mobo so I am assuming its getting power. I tried reseting the cmos by taking out the battery too. What else could it be?
THanks a lot.

System Specs

Now them is some specs!!!

Try booting from a floppy. If no go, reseat all cards, Cpu, and memory. If no go, then start disconnecting power from drives and ide cables from the motherboard. If no go, start removing cards and memory.

Deliberate step by step troubleshooting - sorry you have this trouble. I know it's especially frustrating when you didn't do anything wrong - shoot - it was just a memory upgrade right?

Gateway will likely have you do this stuff for them too (while you hold the phone between your shoulder and ear) if it's under warranty - check that too...
