??? Logitech Z-540 4.1 Speakers, help?

I just got these speakers Logitech® Z-540 - 4.1 configuration • 40 Watts
(http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm?pa...2&languageid=1)

Now I got these setup on a ABIT NF7-S 2.0 (Soundstorm 5.1 Dolby Surround Soundcard).

I got everything hooked up to the sub correctly, got the two rear speakers (left and right) in the back on the wall, and the two front speakers (left and right) right near my ears. Now my problem is I can BARELY hear the rear speakers, I dont know too much about 4.1 or 5.1 speakers cause the most I've had for comps is 2.1 speakers, but are the rear speakers supposed to be just as loud as the front speakers or at least sound the same but at lower volume?

My main problem is I can only hear the rear speakers if I turn M3D on these speakers (in the manual it says if I have a 4-channel soundcard I can screw around with it to see what I like better... but it HAS to be on for me to hear my rear speakers so somethings not right). Another thing is when I go into my Soundstorm Control Panel thing I only see my LEFT and RIGHT speakers active (The bars moving), I have nothing on my rear left and right speakers (no bars nothing), and I have it set to 4 speakers. This might be because the speakers are plugged into the sub, but the sub has two plugs to plug in the computer, the green one (obviously for main sound) and it has another black one (maybe for rear speakers?) I have this black one plugged in!!! In the correct position and I'm still not gettin anything from the rear left and rear right bars. Does this MOBO maybe need more jumpers for the soundcard?

My buddy bought these Logitechs only 5.1, not THX, the regular ones I think 80 Watts, and when he booted up his comp after pluggin these speakers in his XP found these speakers and automatically asked him to set them up as 5.1, and it ran tests for him. I didnt have that, I had to manually set my Soundstorm to 4.1 speakers.

Very long post hopefully someone understands what the hell I'm blabbin on about!!! Someone that knows about soundstorm jumpers or even has these speakers? Thanks guys, I appreciate any comment or reply.

System Specs

In the SS panel there is a rear phase-shift bar you can play with if the rear sound is too weak
and maybe you can try pluging the sub wires to green and blue outputs instead of the green and black ones?
Sorry its been awhile since I used an NF2 board

Well I got them to sound louder by adjusting the Fader to 80% Rear speakers, but I can still hear my front speakers really loud

I'm just wondering now why soundstorm isn't recognizing the rear speakers, the bars dont move... and why a couple of nights ago when my dad was trying something they magically appeared and the rear speaker bars moved, I've tried plugging the black cable into different plugs but I still couldn't get recognition.

Hmmm
