Well maybe it's my mobo, the Cf post code is the first one on the list on the 8rda manual, says test cmos read/write functionality as for what it's doing. I tried my buddies 2400+ and got the same thing, gonna try a dif, mobo now. Damn would really suck if it was both. uggh.

Hmmm apears as though it was my motherboard. Trying a Kt400 board now a MSI KT4 Ultra. However windows XP setup hangs at 34 minutes during device setup. Just freezes any ideas?

I've RMA's my mobo I should have a new one within the week, I'm gonna throw up a quick install on this kt400 board if I can just so I have a machine running, man I'd be suffering from serious withdrawal otherwise. At least the CPU seems ok, strange though I was fucking with the CPU FAN wonder how I f_ckered the mobo.

Sorry to hear that bro, time to upgrade that CPU! It is like an echo chamber in here coz I can hear that word "BARTON" again!
I ripped a good 2mm from off my middle pinkie 3 weeks ago, by holding my hand over a vantec aeroflow HSV fan - luckily I didnt damage my mobo. I was out of action for a while, kept getting capped on Ravenshield, but now all is mended.

OUCH! Funky that sucks, lucky it wasn't me I'd likely of passed out, totally ruining my board. Well I got the kt400 board running, however xp setup kept hanging at the 34 minute mark, I thought it was USB devices but after disconnecting then Disabling USB it was still hanging. Just on a hunch I pulled out my NIC, a realtek based card and replaced it with an old intel NIC and XP installed just fine, strange I never had that problem on my, now dead, 8rda. I wish I could upgrade to a Barton but I can't afford it yet and my wife is already up in arms over the bills. Women Sheesh, no concept of the importance of a highly overclockable CPU.

W00T! Got my nf7-s today and currently have my 2100 at 2.1Ghz and the FSB at 200MHz without breaking a sweat! Gonna have to see what this bitch can do after I get my CoD fix.

you'll probably hit 2.4GHz with decent cooling/voltage if thats a tbredB. If you wanna supercool it and use extreme voltages you could probably hit 2.5-2.6GHz.

WEll since I can't afford to spend anything I'm stuck with a Volcano9 and stock cooling on everything else, as of this point I'm at 220Mhz FSB at 6-3-3-2 my CPU is at 2.2 and my Radeon 9800 Non Pro is at 411/320, memory sucks on this thing, I really can't complain at all. Certainly not a record setting overclock by any means but nice/fast/stable so far, I likes!

I would like to ask everyone's opinion, i was having the same problem after my system crashed. I had to take it to a shop, my nerves could not take the stress. They said it was my mobo, they installed a new one and set everything up for me to reinstall windows. The system would not boot-up, took it back and they said it was a bad mobo, replaced the board then had problems with windows locking up on install, we removed all cards, still lockup, he than said it was my cpu, replaced it and reinstalled my old motherboard and everything has been ok since. Do you think my cpu is ok, i would like to get my xp2200+ back i am tired of this 1800+
