what fan would you guys recommend i get with a Thermalright SLK-800A to cool a Barton Athlon XP 2800+ ?

alot of high quality fans out there, you could try a Vantec Tornado model TD8038H.

If you want something that can be controlled, I would recommend the ThermalTake SmartFan II. Goes from quiet - painfuly loud. But moves an impressive amount of air at the same time.

Sharkims..... Take the Vantec Tornado and buy a rheostat... That's the best bet. Controls the fan and can control others.... The Tornado will cool better than the Smart Fan II buy a large amount (5C) as it has a significantly smaller area of "dead space"....
