BIOS help!

OK i think i might have killed my BIOS, i made some adjustments with my memory then restarted and walked off, i ended up leaving the house never 2 see if she ever posted right... and if she didnt i would have hit the power supply kill switch.. now i've been told b-4 that if ur comp does not post after messing with the BIOS the worst thing u could possibly do is hit the reset button. Now about 2 and half hours later i returned and my comp was on but the screen was black, so my stupid ass hits the reset button not thinking about what i did ealier... now the bytch wont post at all, and i tried changing the memory already... now my dad claims theirs a way 2 reset the BIOS right from the MB, i have an A7N8X DLX Rev. 2.0... and if he doesnt figure it out, well thats what im here posting for, so my questions are, can u reset the BIOS from the MOBO? or did i kill my poor machine? Please help

Well unplug the PC and then pull the battery out of the board. Then on the board near the battery is a jumper you switch. Switch that jumper and then plug the PC back in. Don't turn it on.... just plug it in. Then switch the jumper back and put the battery back. Turn your PC on and you should have it all back........

well it resets the cmos to it's original state... and you are welcome......

There's a way without removing the battery.... disconnect the huge power plug from the board and set the jumper for a few seconds... then set it back and reconnect.

worse case it costs you $5 to have asus reflash your bios chip

Actually I have had better luck removing the battery.... I know it sounds strange but it is true.......
