system memory
i was wondering, would pc 3200 or pc 2700 memory enhance my cpu performance alot compared to my pc 2100? or just a little?

most lickly yes, due to the speed in the ram increases depends on your m/b can take them,presume it does with u posting this questain.
unlike my m/b uses only 2100 ddr 266 only.

i have an intel celeron 2ghz, i was also thinking about upgrading that to an athlon, would that be easy?

It wouldn't be easy, since your mobo can't take an Athlon you'd need to upgrade that too. But it'd be a very good idea.

What you should do if you're starting to be interested in upgrading your PC yourself for better game performance, is get a CPU/ motherboard/ and ram. If you have a normal size case there won't be a problem with that. It will basically be like getting a new PC.
Abit NF-7 v2.0
Xp 1700+ TBred-B Core DLT3C JIUHB 0319 or- barton of some kind-
pc 3200 or 3500 ram. that is compatible. OCZ maybe? Someone around here will tell you what works for them.
You'll be set for a while.
You may need a better PSU (power supply) to handle the extra goodies. 400 to 550 watt- (good brand, not cheapo)

depends on how much he wants to pay for the change he's planning,in my opinion if he plays game what did he buy a celoron system? unless it were budget reasons.

i allwsy buy th faster it costs a liitle more usally has better timeings ... help me when overcocking ... and when i am redy to upgrade @ lest it will be worth something when i try to sell it
