AMD Opteron + ASUS SK8N Review

X-Bit Labs Review

Opteron boasts some nice technology, but doesn't do too well against what is available now, but I kept in mind that the Opteron was restricted to DDR333 and it had low clock frequency. Promisingly enough, AMD will be releasing a similar based chip as their Athlon64 with higher frequencies and if that's the case, things look good for AMD. I'm just wondering how good~ Good review though

Note about the CPU: I'm so very, very, very, VERY pleased with AMD's usage of the core cover, thermal diode, and CPU shutdown mechanism.

Note about the Mobo: I'm glad to see another IDE RAID based ASUS board.
