SATA probs

I'm a newbie to sata but I bought a WD raptor from newegg anyway, I just had to buy one, dont know why just had to (it was the 10,000 rpm thing). I installed it and am having probs. I asked around and everyone tells me I need to update my sata bios. How do I do this, and where can I get a new bios? My mobo is a Asus A7N8X deluxe rev 2.0 thanks for any help you all can give me.

Just update your regular bios, SATA doesn't have a bios. They probably didn't type correctly.

Yes it is dual channel, 2x256 sticks on one channel 1x512 stick on the other the bios even says dual channel mode. There is 2 blue slots and 1 brown or maybe it 2 brown 1 blue, anyway one controller is for the blue and one controller for the brown.
