Re: There was a Time when I wasn't Sure

Well, your GPU is okay for another year. And your PSU should be fine unless you go with something extreme. I recommend a sexy new case to house your heart and soul in. No traditional, boring square boxes though (read: most of Lian Li's entire lineup). And NO plastic under any circumstances (ugly-arsed Coolermaster Cosmos is out).

But, I need to know more about your tastes to consider what is worth recommending. Your profile only says so much. Tell us about you.

I like cars, girls, food and animals. Family first. No second chances unless they are truly sorry?

Re: There was a Time when I wasn't Sure

Ok.

1) Sleek cars, or flashy cars?
2) Do you LAN?
3) At home, or living alone (or uni)?
4) Gray, or Grey?
5) If tomorrow were the Apocalypse and nobody would be able to pass judgment upon you, what line would you use on an ex-girlfriend for some last-minute fun, even if she wasn't truly sorry for being a total pain in the arse during your entire previous relationship?
6) What does the Apocalypse sound like? (link an example; Youtube, whatever)

A really big case to fit all your new parts in and that Earthmonger so he stops asking all these questions and "mysteriously" disappears You may then choose to have him work on GPU cooling.

Re: There was a Time when I wasn't Sure

Well, I'm leaning towards recommending the NZXT Khaos (my own case), which is sleek, refined, and bears the contours of a fine italian sportscar. It's sophisticated without being lit up like Las Vegas.

However, perhaps something monolithic is in order, like the Lian Li PC-X500. That thing is sexy. If you don't mind size, its godfather, the PC-X2000, also makes an impression.

Then there's the Sigma Aegis SB (without window - no direct product link available) if you're looking for something tasteful that is also much cheaper than the aluminum cases above.

And lastly, how about the Silverstone TJ05 (SST-TJ05B-T w/LCD)? A bit reminiscent of the old Cooler Master Wavemaster, but much more useful.

The smaller Lian Li PC-X500 is good for LANs. The rest of these cases are either too big or too heavy for frequent transit.

I'd like to see case manufacturers move away from plastic, steel and aluminum, to take up some experiments in titanium.

Titanium is excellent. Imagine one with custom bevel designs on the sides and front.

Re: There was a Time when I wasn't Sure

I managed to acquire a third fan assembly from NZXT for my Khaos. So it has three massive front intakes. I swapped the blue LED fans for red LED Yate Loons. I also had some custom fan grills waterjet cut and chromed, which go behind the front mesh. The fans only spin at 500rpm though; I'm watercooled.

Well seriously though as this thread was not such a "hit" I decided to go "my-own-way" and buy something of "relevence".
