Monitor fails resume-please help
Greetings,
So I built my new PC a couple months ago, see signature, and have failed to figure out my problem. Plus I've had no real luck searching online for answers. First, maybe unrelated, when I first power on my system there is a almost 15 second delay before the GFX spins up and the bios first appears. The primary problem is if I let the system fall into sleep or hibernation, when I wake it the monitor never comes back on. And the GFX never spins up either, if it did I'm sure the monitor would come back on. I have a slight overclock of 3.2 on the i7, and the OCZ is running at the 1600 XMP profile w/ the multiplier reduced to 10. Any guidance or help here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Re: Monitor fails resume-please help
You forgot to mention your operating system.
Anyway, it is irrelevant. Windows are infamous for having a hit or miss relationship with sleep/hibernation. I wouldn't be too worried about this unless you need to use that often.

Check your BIOS and see if you have a setting for primary Video adapter...... make sure that is set properly.

Re: Monitor fails resume-please help
The OS is listed in the Sig. The card is in the slot closest to the processor, and the BIOS is set to PCI-E x16 #1. I have been dealing without this function, but I kinda started liking a good sleep when I started using VISTA 32bit on my last system. So if I could get it back I would be happier.

Re: Monitor fails resume-please help
Save your overclocked profile and try the bios defaults - see if any change...
What bios version are you using?

Re: Monitor fails resume-please help
BIOS F7, tried defaults, same result. BTW, behavior is the same in W7.
