Re: RAM score in win7
Nice link Tipstaff and on the subject of older hardware for both Vista and Win7 this will always be an issue. The hardware in 3FUN's system looks current enough to me.
On 32 bit installers and 64 bit drivers the only troublesome one I have found is Adobe flash. Perhaps I don't game as much as everyone else or we are talking about some really old games here. I recently finished KOTOR2 installed and played on 64 bit Vista about 8 months ago. Another thing to keep in mind is software companies are focusing more on 64 bit apps and hardware companies 64 bit drivers.

Re: RAM score in win7
Ok. For now I am going to install win7 64 RC and test things, but I am still keeping my vista 32 as my primery os because all of my staff are on it. I am going to wait till the final version of windows 7 64 to install it. One more thing, what do you think of this memory Corsair 4GB (2x 2GB) DDR3 1333MHz, TW3X4G1333C9, 1333MHz 4GB 2x240 DIMM, Unbuffered, 9-9-9-24, Matched XMS3 with Classic Heat Spreader, and if I install it now on vista 32 how much memory will it recognize. Thank You all for your help.

Re: RAM score in win7
I love Corsairs XMS line. I buy it for myself all the time (I'd sell it too if I could find a local distributor), and find it to be one of the most compatible (except with the Intel DP45SG board.. just can't get that board to work).
Edit: I forgot to mention this, but whenever I sold boards based on the X38 or X48 chipset I usually sold G.Skill memory (again because I can't get Corsair locally). In particular, I usually sold the G.Skill F3-10666CL9D-4GBNQ Dual Channel kit. You can usually find this kit for about $20 cheaper than the Corsair kit that you've mentioned. As for what Vista 32bit will see, as of SP1 it will report 4GB, but in reality only use 3.5GB (in your case 3GB plus the 512mb on your video card). With your system specs you will be fine. Just note that if you upgrade your video card to something that has 1GB, things get kinda messy as the system will adjust in such a way that it will reassign memory, or rather readdress memory originally for the system/kernel for the video card (it would take a bit of time to explain it, so if you want to understand it a bit better just Google for things like 32bit memory addressing, or 32bit in relation to 3.5GB or 3GB, and a bunch of stuff will pop up for it). Re: RAM score in win7
I just noticed that the memory is DDR2, So I'm going to have to say it's probably the memory not running as performance wise as you want, Try some better DDR2 etc. My mem is DDR3, so those are my normal timings.

Re: RAM score in win7
It is DDR3 and I noted it can run at 1T and 2T but didn't want to confuse the issue.
I think better RAM might be a good thing here overall
