so they sent you a 1800+ instead of a 1700+...I don't see a problem.

that's funny. i've had something similar happen to me except it was just a dumb power supply. they sent me a 375 watt rather than 360. i don't see why its a reason to complain/worry...

No, the cpu name string is reported as xp1800+. BUT it runs at 1700+ speed which is 1.46ghz, I would not bother if it was to run at 1.53ghz.

I think they might use a xp1800+ core and clock it down to 1700+ ?

You could have got a better price on a 1.4Ghz Tbird.

They say the XP Thourobreads don't overclock that well.

Well chances are if he has a 1700+ its probably (definitly) not a tbred!
