Cpu temperature
Can anyone explain how to monitor your CPU temperature? Are there good programs you can recommend? Can you view them in the BIOS?
I'm taking my first steps towards overclocking, so I need to get the basics first. I want to see if the temperatures of my CPU are correct with my current heatsink mounted on it. Applying the thermal paste and placing the heatsink on the CPU is the only thing I am a bit worried about after having built my system. |

Re: Cpu temperature
RealTemp is good if it supports your CPU.
Otherwise you also have Core Temp. The bios works too, although they may all be slightly inaccurate it is still generally sufficient.

Re: Cpu temperature
I use Everest, as it can display temps for my GPU, CPU's and board in the system tray.
It shows the same temps as Realtemp and Rivatuner. Coretemp is always 10 degrees less than Realtemp for me, I'm not sure which is correct, so i go with Everest/Realtemp to be safe

Re: Cpu temperature
I use HWmonitor as it shows core temps as well as
Tcase. Quote:
