Samsung F1 320gb HD minibench...
Got me one of these yesterday and thought I'd post HDTune and HDTach benchies - FYI...
The drive was installed and formatted as one large partition, standalone drive - no raid - and no files yet written to it. HDTach in Vista64 Ultimate: ![]() and HDTune... ![]() For comparison, here's the HDTach for my Western Digital 640Gb after making 4 partitions and storing files and the OS on it, just after I built the machine shown in my sig: ![]() As you can see, their performance is very close. The access time is a little slower on the Samsung as it runs in my machine this moment. I doubt I could tell the difference in practical use...
