Looking For External HDD.....Would Like Recommendations

Just as the title suggests, guys. I'm looking for something with at least 750 gigs of storage space. I want to store a bunch of old movies and videos I've made over the years so I don't have to go back and redo them again. Any suggestions?

Iomega. Very satisfied with them.

Seagate Free Agent or Seagate Free Agent Pro 750gb drives are lightning fast..

the pro series has USB/Firewire/eSata connections available.

I recently did a full blown backup, compared to the USB connection, it took nearly 8 hours to do a full back up, however with Esata, it took less then 2 and a half hours

My suggestion would be to buy a 750GB internal drive of your choice and purchase a Vantec Nexstar 3 eSATA enclosure. Likely cheaper and they are quite sexy.

I think that that is quite a good option to consider as well. Just buy the HDD internal of your choice and get an external enclosure for it

Western Digital MyBook's are very good drives. The 1TB versions have been selling in Costco's in Canada for $250 lately, and they work on eSata, Firewire or USB2! Not to mention they're great performers, and are very unobtrusive. The small formfactor of the drive is a real plus I find when managing more than one drive or even just trying to keep desk clutter down.

Just thought I'd drop by and let you guys know that I bought a Seagate Free Agent Pro 750 gig external HDD. A local computer store had them on sale for $159. Installed with no problems and am using it right now as I write this.

Just want to say thanks for your suggestions. Appreciate it.

Hey have you tried out the software that comes with the drive?

The best part of the seagate drives is likely the box and unpacking it
