Getting a new PSU.....

I'm running the old power hungry P4 cpu(presscott). I want to swap my current 460 Watt Enermax power supply for new one, Enermax EPR525AWT PRO82+ 525W Power Supply(which is in my price range). Any tips/advice would help since my system is old now.

System Specs

Nice PSU. Never thought Enermax (or whomever is making Enermaxs PSUs these days for them) could actually come up with a smart design. 3 +12v rails at 25a, break away 8 pin ATX power connector (so you get 8 for the new high end boards, or break away to 4 for the older, or non high end boards), lots of SATA connectors, and 3 PCIE power connectors (2 being 8 pin break aways for the highend cards). Even though it's from a company I usually don't buy from (I prefer Corsair, PC&C, Cooler Master, or Antec) overall I like it.

Since I'm not an expert on PSU specs, I'll leave comments on that to those in the know, like Grace (Newegg posted a pic to the PSUs specs HERE).

Don't worry overly much about whether a specific KB article exists for your version of Windows.
Standard practice is to grab whatever's available and apply the principles.

You could always check our reviews of the Modu 82+ and Pro 82+ units. True enough, I didn't review the 525W version of the Pro 82+, but they all share the same base design. Personally I enjoyed the performance and quality of both units, I don't think it won't be satisfactory for you.
