Big Annoying Problem - hope someone can help

Ok so i shall tell you the whole story:

I bought a Samsung 206bw for my computer a while back and since about 1 month after i bought it, my monitor quite often (once a week or more) turns to a fully black screen and switches from DVI to Analog then after it fails to connect it turns on to stand by and ultimately i have to restart my computer.
When i restart my computer lines of red/blue blocks and squares appear all over my computer screen on the windows xp load page and every other page. It may then go to try and connect again and fail, and again result in me having to restart my computer.

I then may have to restart for another 5-6 times before it actually comes on to my normal screen and it may be fine then for a week, a month a day an hour (i guess you get the point)

However sometimes i have to switch the computer off from the psu switch and leave the computer for 5-10 minutes and then try again which again may result in restarting the computer a couple of times.

Also when i play Counter Strike Source i sometimes get large black square blocks which then if i do not close down counter strike quick enough results in my computer freezing and once again restarting my computer which again comes up with the red/blue squares and results in the monitor failing to connect and having to restart my computer a couple of times.

I guess by now you can see it is annoying.

Please has any body any idea whats wrong?

My spec is:
E6600
ASUS P5B PREMIUM
GEFORCE 7950GT
SAMSUNG HARDRIVE
WESTERN DIGI HARDRIVE
2GB CORSAIR DOMINATOR RAM
CORSAIR 520 WAT PSU

Sure thats all you need to know, oh i run windows xp.
Thanks Will.

Im thinking its the 7950GT thats overheating or im sorry to say dieing.
Check the temps on your GPU and if the fan is rotating. Add some more fans to your case .. do what ever you can to cool it down and if it doesnt stop making problems RMA it.
