Putting computer back together.

Yeah I have a problem. I took apart my computer for some reason (it was built by my brother) and then about a week later I decided to put it back together. However..-cough-...It seems I am not familiar..with...where to plug in certain things..-_-..On my motherboard I cant find where to plug in the power switch and power led, along with the reset switch.. people tell me that it says on the mobo where to put it, but mine doesnt..My motherboard is a SiS something..with integrated graphics and an amd 1.3Ghz. I finally ended up putting the power switch in the right place so it turns on.. but now when it turns on..nothing is displayed on my monitor..My hd is plugged into the first IDE slot..my one optical drive is plugged into the second one, and the other optical drive is plugged into the second little plug thing already on main plug that is connecting my first optical drive...If I make any sense..Power supply is plugged into my motherboard, HD, and the two optical drives. The heatsink fan is plugged into the motherboard..And there is 512mb of ram in the two memory slots...what the hell am I missing?..I mean im looking at some other plugs..like ''h.d.d light'' that I didnt plug in. and ''speaker'' that I didnt plug in cus I see its just a speaker attatched to the case. Reset switch isnt plugged in..and power led isnt plugged in..well..it is..but it is in the wrong place..But those things are far from necessary..right?...what else can I be missing?..why wont the computer display a screen?..

More specs of the motherboard (model, brand, what kind of socket?) and other component/hardware, please! It's probably socket A motheroboard, since it's a AMD 1.3 (thunderbird), right?

One more question: did you remove the cpu cooler and detach the processor from the socket? If I am right the old socket A processors are easily broken. Maybe try to boot up windows even you do not have display on your monitor and attach the speaker, so you can hear Windows is booting up. If you can't hear the Windows booting up tune (if enabled ofcourse) and the cpu cooler fan is spinning and the system didn't post at all, then there's something wrong with the cpu (probably broken). Also can you hear some error beeps which can indicated memory problems etc. etc.. If you haven't attached the pc speaker from the pc case to the motherboard, then attach it so you can hear the error codes of the motherboard.

Good luck!

System Specs

Do you maybe have the owner's manual of the parts? If not, check the manufacturers website.
