Still cant figure out the best RAM i need.. Help me
I still need to figure out the ram Im gonna put in my new pc. Im ordering my part next week on thursday and they are gonna be on a EVGA 780i Mobo with a Q6600 and a 9800 GX2. What memory would be the best for me?
Infos : Im a gamer and I do some photoshopping sometimes (Im not a professional photoshopper lol)
CORSAIR 800MHZ DDR2 NO-ECC 4096MO TWINX C5 (2x 2Gb) 145$
OR
OCZ 1066MHZ DDR2 NO-ECC 4096MO REAPER KIT (2x 2Gb) 155$
Help me out with this! In my head, 1066mhz is better than 800mhz, but is it the case on those 2 choice?

Just make sure there's enough free space for the protruding heatsinks on the OCZ Reaper modules.

For the extra ten bucks i'd say the OCZ is the smarter choice, if you've got the room and a board than can take it.
Go for it, OC the hell out of it and let us know how it goes ;p

sounds like a good system. I'd recommend the Corsair DDR2 1066 2x2GB sticks (CMX is having a blast with them)
but they're out of stock everywhere.....

between the two, there's still not enough info. what are the timings of the two different pairs of RAM?
if the corsairs do 800Mhz @ 4-4-4-12 2T timings and the OCZ does 1066Mhz @ 5-5-5-15 2T, then it wouldn't really matter IMO.
