Maximus Formula ?

Hello ppl.

I had this Asus P5E x38/ICH9R board for a month and it died on me .. or better to say the power_sw on the motherboard died so i coudnt turn on my computer .. funny i know . Anyway i figured id pay up some more money for an upgrade but would like some advice.

Is maximus formula a good motherboard ? i mean i know its almost identical to the P5E but i would like to hear some owners of this mobo about their experience with it.

Any help would be welcomed.

by now, X48 based boards may be on store shelves in your area, and the boards are expected to be improved over X38 based boards.
you might want to check into them and you may like one of them more than the one you mentioned.

i went to a computer mall today and have a chance to spend planty of time with motherboards, mostly Gigabyte's X48, X38, P35,
and talked to some computer enthusiasts and retail stores. personally, for today's buying, i would choose X48 over X38 board.
prices are about the same. i don't know about the prices in your area though.

Dont buy an X38 at this stage of the game, buy X48.
