videocardThis device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)

i was away for a coupe of minutes from my computer and when i came back my screen was frozen... so i rebooted my computer. at first it looked like everything was alright until i came to my log on screen which was distorted because as i found out my video settings sa set to the minimum with no other options.the device manager said that "This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)" tried following the troubleshoots suggestions to no avail...

my video card is an old built in s3 graphics prosavage ddr

First, give us a full rundown on the system: Motherboard, CPU, RAM, Windows Version, etc.

never mind... must have been a loose connection.. after shutting down my pc and replugging every thing (power cables, Hard disk, cd roms, etc.) iit worked fine again...

That was going to be my first suggestion after getting your system specs. It's one of the most common 'techniques' used to get a problem PC working again. Shut it down, even unplug it for a few moments, plug it back in and watch it start.

Glad to know you're up and running again.
