Spec me a video card for my 27.5" LCD!
Wasn't sure which forum to post this one in... since my question isn't related to ATI or Nvidia directly.
I have just ordered a 27.5" LCD and I currently have a Powercolor x1950 Pro 512MB which I can see needs urgently replacing! What would you guys/gals recommend I upgrade too, I play FPS games and RPG's.
System is:
e6600
Gigabyte DS3P rev 3.3
4GB RAM
27.5" LCD
580w psu
Cheers

I would recommend Nvidia 8800 GTS 640 or GTX, you dont want an 8600 with 512MB or 128 bit for hi res monitors.

I dunno what to recommend really, just something with a fair bit of power should do it.
Even though you didn't know what forum to post this in, why did you choose audio discussion?
why not hardware discussion and support?

Moved.
What resolution does your screen support (max)?

i would hope the 27" is 1920x1080 at the very least..
either way, a 8800 or 2900 should do quite well... definitely won't want any of the more budget models if your playing games..

It's a Viewsonic VX2835WM - 1920x1200 resolution

I cant work out if a ATI X2900XT 512MB or a 8800GTS 640MB would suit be better.

Given the choice of those two, 8800GTS without a doubt.
