Incorrect reading from Core Temp?

Well, as some of you know, I've sort of had a forced upgrade to a C2D system, and, well, it was well worth it Got the 6420 for $180, and overclocked it to 3 GHZ without any voltage increases... yet

Anyway, I've been monitoring temps like mad, and it's really cool at idle, and every program I've used says so. Load gets about low 50's at the maximum. But I just downloaded Core Temp to see what that had to say, but it told me I have a Tjunction of 85°C

I'm not TOO worried, since it can't even detect that it's an E6420 properly, but I just wanted a second opinion..

My system is completely stable, and it's been at 3 GHz for about 2 days without any problems

Oops, Core Temp is supposed to do that it seems.. It's right there on the site too.. haha I'm dumb

It just got me worried because I was reading this guide: http://forumz.tomshardware.com/hardw...ict221745.html

It said that a Tjunction of 75° is REALLY hot, so I was just worried.. but it seems that the way Core Temp reads it, it's alright..

Nobody has killed a C2D yet with voltage or temps....None at least that was from use and not people messing with voltage mods haha, and if they have I havent seen it yet. I used to pump 1.7-1.75v through my E6600 for benches.

Necrosis will become famous soon enough
System Specs

If your cores are below 60c you're doing fine.

That TJunction is a maximum figure.... notice how it never changes with different load levels etc...
