...Any particular reason you went with that case if I might ask?
Also after looking at it, on the mobo I would suggest Intel BadAxe2 for 20$ more....Features the 975x chipset, also is a much better performer than the P965 clock for clock...Although I wouldnt wanna stick you with a 9x multi if your going to Overclock at all, the new E6600/Xeon 3060s havent been as kind as the older ones. IE not being able to get say 400x9 stable....Where as the P5B Deluxe will let you control the multi so you could do like 400/450x8 or 9 (well any multi from 6-9) So in that regard the P5B might be a better choice, but if your feeling daring I would go with the D975XBX2 - OEM...If you dont need Sata cables and junk go with the OEM its 200$ at newegg. 229$ retail with sata cables and the works.

My last two builds had el cheapo cases ($30ish) I really really like the p182 and if this was going to be my imaginary ( although still within a realistic budget ) Id go with something stylish yet semi affordable. Ill probibly change to the bad axe 2 and e6600. I would definately be looking to overclock and honestly didnt know the newer 6600s wernt as overclock friendly.
But no more make believe upgrades i dont have any more make believe money.

Yeah the newer batches of Core2 havent been as generous, although there is some light at the end of the tunnel some people have snagged some good OCers recently from Newegg/ZZF I believe they came from.....BadAxe2 is a very nice board, I personally use it and for a single GFX card its probably one of the best out......
And yes the 226BW is that good, I love mine it looks so good with everything I actually took my 360 off my 40" samsung and stuck it on this through the VGA so I dont ever have to get up...left my PS3 on the bigscreen though, still waiting on a decent game to play on PS3 other than PS2 games haha
EDIT: PS! Ditch the 8800GTS and get a X2900XT!!
