Well depending on what kind of cooling you use, on air 4ghz might be your max 450x9 or 400x10 whichever is about the max I have seen on air people run, but even then its personal preference on what you really want to do.

the X6800 i hear is THE best OCing chip out on the market, better than the QX6700 at 4ghz i believe, but you need good cooling i guess a thermoelectric or a swiftech or dangerden high end kit. i dunno about QX6700 OCing but not too many got it past 4GHz (i think DH did though)

Sometimes its not though, because theres rare cases where it OCs poorly because its already been binned out the ass to run the desired stock from Intel so sometimes it doesnt have as much headroom as say a 6600 or 6700....Very rarely though.
And FSB in 4 digits is the rated bus, the 3 digit is the frequency that has the CPUs multi applied to it to give you the real time clock.

I managed to boot @ 4.1GHz... but it wasn't bench stable.
Best I've been able to reach is 3.9 stable... hoping that'll change with the Asus P5K Deluxe I have on the way.

I would stick with the EVGA for now if I were you, the ram bandwidth that board gets is quite nice
