That motherboard uses DDR PC3200 (400 MHz) RAM. When looking for really good RAM, I'd stick with Corsair and OCZ, or other similarly very-well known companies.

You want to get Dual Channel RAM and I'd go for 2 GB total. When comparing RAM modules, you want the numbers for the CAS Latency settings to be the lowest possible. 3 is better than 5 in this example.

Cheaper RAM will often have higher Latency settings. Also, although not totally necessary, I'd get some RAM modules that come with good heat spreaders already included.

Cheers and good luck!

You may look at this:

It is a list of memory modules Asus recomends for this MB. But it doesn't mean that other modules won't work, the ones on the list just should work "optimally".

i'd recommend the OCZ 2Gb kit for starters. For a little less, you can get some G.Skill RAM that offers the same timings. Muskin is also another brand of memory i'd recommend.

There is more stuff out there, but while looking for the RAM, i saw that there were alot of DDR modules "out of stock". You would need to buy something soon otherwise you won't be able to find anything good.
