Pissed DVD rom Caddy drive?

Damn i hate it when my CDs/DVDs get scratched.

It seems as if I only have to buy a new game and as soon as it goes in my drive tray and back out again, the disc already got a few light swivel marks, some times even scratches.

Why oh why aren't our precious CDs & DVDs protected? One of my favorite games doesn't even work properly anymore.

The idiot who said that DISCs were 'INDESTRUCTIBLE' is a moron.. They're obviously not, yet still manufactures continue to sell unprotected Discs & drives.

Yes I know your suppose to look after your CDs/DVDs and put them back in there cases, but eventually they STILL get scuffed.

There seemed to be such a logical idea when i was in school, the first ever CD Rom drive i ever saw had a CADDY case. But why not today? Because it's all 'money saving' nowadays.

Well I've had ENOUGH! to be perfectly honest... ENOUGH of writable Discs particularly, becoming unreadable. I want Discs back in there protective Caddy's where they belong.

can anyone help me out here in finding a DVD drive that uses Caddy Cases just like my DVD RAM video recorder uses??

Looks a lot like this:

Hmm, have thought of changing your dvd drive?
Since 1994 that I have a computer with cdrom+ drives, have 2 discs (out of thousands) get damaged by a drive. The first one was after using the disc almost non stop for a couple of years, the other was due to a weird hardware fault.

Good luck finding what you are looking for though.

Plextor makes some drives like that, check out their site.
