Pc case: alien shape
Hi,
I like those cases Alienware uses, but is it possible somebody can tell me which brand there exists with the same shape?
I live in Belgium and I just need such a case, in fact, such one with the same shape

Alienware don't sell the cases (although ive a black one in my garage waiting for me to build a new system for it), and the case you link to has actually been replaced by the new model over here. (looks basically the same just slightly different accents and shape)

They are very, very bulky cases, and that heavy plastic door in the front seems a hindrance. I do have an Alienware system, but got it before the big plastic upgrade of the case. My buds have a couple of the new ones, and the cases are just HUGE and I'm not sure I'd be wanting one. To me, they look kinda ugly with the door off, so that may be something to consider.
I think I kinda like some of the cases here better:

I think THIS one might be my fave:

Just wanting to share some info and thoughts.
Good luck finding the one you like best.

I am certain that there is at least a UK company that sells very similar looking cases. A year ago I was looking for one and found a couple of places (online) where they were selling them. Can't help you more, but if you look, you will find them.

My alienware does have Chieftec all over the insides. It's been a very good case - 2.8ghz P4 with 1 gig of RDRAM, etc. Was a good rig at the time, and still holds up well as a second machine.

lol...
What with these incredibly long video cards (AGP X1950 Pro is one example) the idea of mounting drives sideways looks increasingly convenient.
I had to remove the bottom drive of my 3 bay 3.5" drive holder just to get enough room (BARELY) to put the card in and connect the power to it.
I ended up mounting that drive on the "floor" of the tower case. I screwed 4 mb stands into the bottom of the drive (it has 4 holes just for that), putting rubber feet on the bottom of each of those, lining it up on the side where there was a hole big enough to accommodate a screw, and fastening it snugly in place with a single screw to the side-mount.
I think the whole thing may have been able to be avoided if I had a case with side-oriented drives.
