Quick Poll RATE please

Running into a dilema, as OCZ's modstreams depleat and there yet to come into any form of supply the new "variations" of the modstreams, i looking for a relatively cheap alternative that still packs a punch. Unfortuneatly i don't want to go the dual 12v rail road but i don't think i have a choice.

I'm curious if anyone has REALLY used the coolermaster Extreme Power Power Supplies. And to know how well they run and the general take on them.

Anyone with Coolermaster Power Supplies, if you don't mind, let me know how your liking it.

Do they seem cheap, or of good quality, do they work, had any problems?

Hit the poll and post a message if you can

null vote on my end, as the only coolermaster products i've owned have been one case, and a few of their socket A HSF. Not really what you're looking into.

technically i do own a cooler master PSU, but it's never been used. I took it out of the case it came in for an another PSU of a better rating.

Well the one 430watt coolmaster psu i've had for a short period of time ran damn good.. solid.. and as far as i know.. the customer using it has been happy.

but that's the stretch of my knowledge.... considering that when your moving say a few dozen units, you tend to run into duds.

duds will always happen. it's just the percentage of duds for the same amount of units moved between brands, and the actual rating, not the said rating that need to be looked into. that is what to me would determine a good product.

Well duds are undenieable....

but you can get duds that work for a month and then flake out finally..

i'm asking in generally cover all.

Did you have problems emediately? later? at all?

But more of the questions are related to does it work good.... poor/fair/excellent.. whatever?

Put a coolermaster PSU in the system I built my dad, it does what it says on the box in a plain boring style. I did swap it into the system in my sig for a month or two while I had few problems with another PSU, it ran fine and pumped enough power to handle any overclocks.
I'd say it's pretty much standard no-frills OEM type stuff which is not necessarily a bad thing as it runs and runs. It's just not something that visually appeals through my cases side window.
They do make some nice cases which seems to be it's main focus.

No complaints with coolermaster power supplies I've used/seen. Haven't seen any used in any real heavy use though.

Why would you ever want to avoid dual +12V rails?

I tend to want to stick with the single 12v rails or go full on quad,

i've only had the occasional issues with the dual rail psu's... At first only with the PowerStream 600watt and crossfire, but it carried over to some new machines i had built with some beify hardware, not crossfire. Just seems to be that dual rail seems to be a bit limitted depending on the tasks where a single rail is able to cope for stock results better. I'm trying to build the machines for absalutely any task they want to throw at them. Frankly i can't wait to get my hands on the first batch of the new "mod"stream like ocz new psu's (i'm to lazy to go to the website atm). 4 12v rails and all neat and tidy
