Thumbs Up! Wheee! I found a surprise...an old friend in a box!

So my friend dropped off an old PII300 box of his for me to get up and running as a kid's pc for him, and when I open it up what do I find inside?

My faithful old 32MB Rage Fury (non-Pro)!!!.

I'm so excited/happy I'm thinking of tearing the GF3 out of Bubbles and benchig the rage128 just for giggles, I couldn't remember what I'd done with it!

No way in hell it'll be going back, just no way. That's the card I cut me geekteeth on!

System Specs

I had one of those - After my PCI S3 Savage 4 (really a sideways step, but the Savage was only 8Mb and things complained), but before the Geforce 2MX.

Can't remember what 3Dmark 2001 rated it as... 800 or so seems to ring a bell

According to Rage underground's tweaker, it ran at 80/120 - but I could give it 100/150 and test reliably

The 8006 leaked driver, I presume?

Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! Nah..the 6292 set. I actually had to dig out my original install disk just to get the damned box to boot into win95 for me.

Don't worry, I just yanked the HD and am transplanting me Dad's HD in from his dead Acer. I figure I'll set this up to take the time pressure off of me for building him another one....between the two I should be able to manage something that works and is decent by tomorrow.

6292? - last of the DX7 sets?

Does it work better than the DX8 driver sets on that card? - since the hardware itself is probably DX6 at most.

ATI Mobility Radeon 9000. I have this beast of a notebook... Don't be envious, it's not mine

If I find the time I will run the benchmark. I expect far better than a 2 digit score
