Smilie A7N8X Dlx online!

Well, after recieving the first board broken, I'm glad to say I recieved my new one today. I'm using it now and it is working great! As you may remember last time I had problems with adjusting settings in the BIOS and CPU temp mis-readings. I had no problems what so ever, with anything this time around. All I can say about this board is, wow! <-- Me likes this smiley.

Hey Dom!

Good to hear your back up and running with no glitches! Man that board must of really been hosed then....remember to read around for some "hints" about this board before you start OC'ing.

Thanks, man, I sure will.

I wanna run something by ya.

I notice something different on this board, two things actually. First is in the BIOS there is no option to disable SATA, seems it can only be done manualy, which is no problem. Second is there is no option to select sync mode for the RAM in the BIOS. I think this board is a new revision, but I havn't heard of it. Is there a new revision?

What do you mean by "sync mode"?
Do you mean options like buffered, un-buffered?

It enabled dual-channel DDR, it had to do with the memory frequency or something (was in the same list as by SPD).

You mean sync-mode, as in running RAM and CPU at same frequency, right?

Glad to hear this one is workin for ya, nothing worse than gettin broken hardware. But make sure you have the latest BIOS installed and to run your mem in sync, you have to run it at 100%. Is that even there?

Yes, 100% is there. That's sync-mode?

Latest BIOS is installed.

Yep, that should do it. When set at 100% it will run at the same speed as the fsb

Seems the board don't like running the FSB and RAM at the same speed, won't let me boot.

Damn, that sucks. Is that mem the XMS low latency stuff? I've heard some bad stories about those with the NF2's. What mem timings are you using?
