desktop switching...very annoying!!!

alrighty..well for some reason when i play any game at all..no matter which one it is i end up switching to the desktop!!

to cover the common questions- cpu up to date as late as possible (mobo, dual core chip, ati card, soundcard..etc and windows xp sp2)

no i do not press the window key on the keyboard , and i do not press alt tab at all!


so im playing diablo 2- it is random but it ALWAYS HAPPENS!! i ran some spyware programs and mcafee - did nothing after two full scans.

my only other thought would be to reinstall (not reformat) windows xp on my main drive and keeping my storage drive as is. mabye something is messed up!

but before i do anything- any suggestions or comments is as always appreciated.

* the wierd thing is though it stops switching mabye after 7-10 times but that is annoying especially with FEAR or OBlivion (diablo 2 is fine, hardly any mem used)

* oh and i also got switched out of notepad once! no joke!
