New Hardware Found
So, for a couple of weeks now (I think) whenever I shut down the PC for the night, next morning windows always, always find some new hardware and I get the wizard. I click cancel and it appears as an unknown PCI device.
When I reboot the PC, no new hardware found message appears and the device manager doesn't have the unknown pci device or anything extra to point me to which device was not detected earlier.
It is not a problem, but I am very curious as to what is causing this. Any ideas?

Have you made any changes to your graphics drivers i.e running it without control panel? I read a similar thread elsewhere where a guy was getting the same thing using driver and ati-tool.

I found the same thing after installing new Nvidia GFX drivers while having nHancer installed- (a .net app).. after I ran nHancer once that problem (identical to yours) went away. It looks like you have a different card, but maybe some 3rd party driver controller could cause this on your system too?
If not I would seriously look through ALL BIOS options.. disable all unused onboard devices, maybe you missed one or something. If not, reinstall your mobo chipset drivers.. If all that doesn't fix it I would be surprised. If it doesn't though.. open hardware manager and explore to that device... and then disable it.

I haven't made any changes to the BIOS or hardware drivers at all for at least a couple of months now. I have installed NGO ATI 166 ULTRA on the catalyst 06.6 and finaly have a stable system.
The only thing that I can thing of, but not sure if it started before or after this, is the installation of a newer K-Lite codec pack. And a few games, hmm. and Steam.
I have only two PCI devices on the pc, my soundblaster and tha ATI card. So, if there is an "unknown" PCI device, shouldn't it has something to do with one of the two? Well, the ATI is PCI-E but...
A .net application...this sounds familiar. But I am pretty sure .net has not been reinstalled since I laready have the latest version. Perhaps my pc is haunted.

Yes! Last time I installed/changed any drivers were the radeon's drivers a couple of months ago. Before this whole thing started.
