Got a wierd usb issue, Got a wierd usb issue

Well I bought a new Digital camera tonight, and lieking it very much, but I have a weird glitch or somthing.
I have 2 front usb ports, wich I know work correctly, because I have a wired usb mouse and it works in both ports.
My problem is I cna use the top port fine with the camera, but when I use the bottom port, I get USB Device Not recognized, then it shows a list of usb devices, and has the one in bold, and when I click that it says this exactly, copy and paste:

No drivers are installed for this device.

If you are having problems with this device, click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter.

So what gives, why does it work in one port, but not another? am I missing a like generic driver of sorts or missing a step or what?

Anyone that can help me out, I'de be forever greatful.

System info is as follows:
Windows Xp Pro
All major windows updates

http://www.abit-usa.com/products/mb/produc...ies=1&model=187
That's my mainboard

I have the latest drivers from abit's site

Hope that's all I need for info, if not let me know I'll give more.

Sounds like you need to re-install your USB drivers

device manager and re-install, Windows will find them automatically, should sort it.

Well I went to device manager, uninstalled eery USB and USB root in the list, rescanned it and let it install what it needed, and still no go, and as far as usb drivers, well I can't find any fir this board. The ones on abits site are for win9x/me and won't install at all on xp pro.

The ports are probably not providing sufficient power that the camera needs. I get the same thing with my camera and PSP; they only work when I hook them up directly to the back usb ports that are on the mobo. Another option is to get a powered usb hub(the ones that you have to plug into an outlet)
