I've searched throughout this board and didn't see a similar topic to mine resolved. . . Forgive me if it has
But I'm using an NVIDIA GeForce 6200OC PCI 256MB graphics card on my PC. It has a S-Video TV Out hookup, but my TV does not have an S-Video hookup; it only has RCA inputs. So I dug around my house for an S-Video to Composite video adapter and found one. . . I hooked it up and I get a picture on the TV.
The problem is, it's in black and white.

I've tried changing the signal format in the NVIDIA options, M/NTSC is the only one that doesn't make the screen wave/jump.
However, I did find a setting in the "Advanced..." part of the TV format menu that lets you choose either Auto-detect, S-Video, or Composite. If I change it to Auto-detect or S-Video, I get the black and white picture. If I change it to Composite, though, I get an extremely brief view of my desktop in color (about half a second), then it disappears and the TV goes blank.
I've downloaded the latest drivers for the card. . . Does anyone have a suggestion or idea for why this is happening?
TIA! ~Kevin
[EDIT]
Forgot to mention, when I boot up my computer initially, it's in full color. Then when Windows XP gets to the Welcome Screen, it goes to black and white again.
