Would you buy a Hitachi Deskstar

I like Seagates and was going to go with a Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 80gb SATA II for $51+Shipping but I saw a Hitachi Deskstar T7K250 160gb SATA II for $59+Shipping But the Deskstars arent really knocn for their reliability it seems and they havent gotten a very good review on Newegg, Whos had past experiences with the Deskstars and the T7K250?

Right now im leaning more towards the more reliable Seagate but double the space for 9 dollars more the deskstar is oh so tempting.

System Specs

I have no experience at all with an Hitachi HDs. But, I have heard some bad things about them.

However, I have 2 160 GB Samsung SATA HDs in my main rig that I've had for about a year and a half. They have served me quite well, so far.

MicroCenter has these for a very attractive price: I paid around $60 or so for them.

Yea I think ill go with the samsung 160gb only 17 bucks more for 80 more gigs dam this is going to take me atleast another week, probibly 2, to get all the peices.

I own two 250GB .... awesome seek times and high transfer rate
Samgsumg is faster , as in trasfer rate but slower seek
If it's you boot drive use hitchi if it's a secondary drive you
might benifit from the few mb more trasfer rate...

Yea this is a budget rig so ill only have one hd for a while. It is a noticably slower seek time then the deskstar?
