Ok, I thought I would do some case tidying and because I've got an Audigy 2 ZS Platinum internal drive with connectors etc, I thought that since the front audio and mic on my case can't be used, I would unplug those wires and chuck them behind the case. After I did that I rebooted and noticed that my wireless card wasn't being detected, which for some reason has happened on a few ocasions when I have done something to the inside of my box. I looked in add new hardware and it said some error code 12 that it could not use this device because there weren't enough resources and I had do disable something before being able :S I turned the pc off, did necessary ajustments then booted back up, but it would not go past the windows xp with the bar screen, it just flashes a blue screen of death...
Having feared the worst, I was seriously about to cry because I didn't want to go through that shit again with my knee bumping the table and bye bye hdd. I tried safe mode, and luckyly that worked so i thought ok it isn't that bad. However I still couldn't boot into normal windows.
So I thought that ok i'll just plug those 2 wires in again for my front case audio and see what happens because that was the only major change I did. Lo and behold my computer boots normally and my wireless card is detected
Do I have some conflict with my wireless card and the previous onboard audio which I had installed drivers for, but used drivercleaner before I installed the audigy 2 zs?
*I'm guessing its those 2 cables, however I'm NOT going to investigate further --> if its not broke don't fix it, right?
....Just a very weird problem.
