Pissed Fecking Computers

on wedensday evening my mobo (Abit nforce 2 board) hort circuited after i shut down my pc rendering my processor (Amd 2600 barton) useless as the board is no longer in production to top it up i have a Connect 3d Ati X800 pro agp card , i remembered i had a cheapo mobo an Optronix which supports sata , only to find out it only supports sata raid and the mainHD must be a ide device , with no access to the internet i had to phone novatech (UK) for a Amd board with Agp support .... they had very little left only available in bundle dealds with the older Amd 64 chipset 754 (Amd 64 3400) and they we're not of the deluxe ... which thankfully arrived yesterday variety without dual channel option i , now the online hunt is on to find a uk vendor that sells a deluxe version of a 754 chipset mobo with Agp and dual channel memory to run my new corsair 2 x 1gig dual channel DDR 400

allready this has cost me £300 plus

any help will be appreciated in finding one in on a online UK store

sorry to hear your problems, but I think you might get more response in the hardware forum so ill move it for you with redirect.

I know its not much consolation, but I had 5 cases of dead Abit Nforce 2 boards. They were terrible. When I brought this up with an engineer in abit at the time, his answer was "the nvidia nforce2 chipset is terrible".
