LCD Blacking OUt Momentarily
I'm using a Gateway FPD2185W 21" monitor and I've been having a problem with it blanking out for a second or two. I had the problem when I first bought it, then it went away for awhile, now it's back again. I can't tell if the problem is with the monitor or my video card or what is causing it. My specs are below, if anyone has any suggestions on what might be causing this and a possible fix, I would be truly greatful.

System Specs

when does it blank out, right after logging in, or randomly?

if it's just during log in, that's when the video card drivers are initiated, and there's no problem there

but if it's just randomly, i'd check to see if the cable is connected securely at both ends, and perhaps test with another one (if available)
