PSU question

the fan outside of my psu spins perfect, but the fan inside of the computer on the psu spins fast then stops, then spins fast/stops, and etc. and makes it go loud to quiet. btw the inside fan of the psu is about 1 inch away from my 2 cd drives. at night this last for quite a while, during the day only for the first 10 minutes. btw this doesnt happen at full load. is there a reason for this? or is my psu dieing?

well, late post but least you're getting feedback .

the PSU isn't dying from the fan not spinning. if the fan is designed to do that intentionally, then that's how it will work forever. if it's not, then the times your fan is slowed/stopped the PSU will heat up more than normal and will eventually in the long run cause the PSU to die out sooner than it should have.
