monitor wont start up
can anyone please help me,
my computers about 1 year old everything has been working fine and not had any problems at all it doesn't really get used very much. I've never done any modifications or changed anything its just as it was when i got it from the shop. The other day i plugged my mp3 player into the usb port for the 1st time. It Poped up saying new hardware found i think it said usb flash disk.
straight after that the screen just froze mouse pointer wouldn't move, couldn't get task manager up or do anything. so i turned it off at the mains. When i turned it back on it all sounded to be starting up as normal, fans started, hard drive light flashing away but the monitor won't come on. i turn it on the green light comes on for a couple of seconds then it goes to orange as if its going onto standby. i tried another monitor on the computer thinking the monitor may of broke but its just the same like there is no signal going to it just goes onto standby after a couple of seconds. When i unplug the monitor cable from the back of the computer the green light comes on and it says no signal on the screen.
Does anyone know whats going on and what might fix this problem?
