Older Computer USB ports dont work

Im stuck on a POS AMD k6-2 500mhz for another week atleast and id realy like to get the ports working.

They did work for the previous owner. I reformatted and installed XP, no good they dont even show up in the device manager. I did overclock this computer I believe the stock speed is 350 its currently at 500. Would the overclocking disable the usb ports somehow? it is an older computer any chance 3rd party usb drivers are needed?
