3D Apps dont stay running...Why?

3dmark03 closes after the mother nature test no errors or warnings

City of villians locks up as soon as i enter a zone and shuts down everything 2d seems to work fine. The only things that changed is recently my comps been overheating(70c+) and shutting down so I removed the heatsink and half the thremal paste and now it doesnt go above 51c so i upped the clocks a little now its at 3.9ghz @ 1.4v.

May or may not be related, So in a desperate attempt i reinstall nvidia drivers and install Rivatuner, riva tuner asks to reboot to check default settings and it shows my default clocks at 250/599 wtf?

System Specs

Well yeah first thing to do is to undo/lower any overclocking. In general with games crashing clean to the desktop it often has to do with RAM instability.

your right set everything back to stock and its fine i do remember trying a slightly higher ram clock in that case should i slightly increase ram voltage in order to make it stable?

Good to go, back at 3.75Ghz and 625mhz on the mem.
