building an amd system

Ok now we are going to move to the installing of the ground screws into the case.

*Be sure not to over tighten these ...they are only copper and will strip out fairly easily*

Now we install the other components into the case:

I usually prefer to use 2 cd-roms when I’m building a system, but in this particular system we will be using just 1 cd-rom. On the back of the cd-rom there will be a jumper setting. You will set the jumper to master/primary, (If using 2 cd-roms, jumper settings will be set to slave/secondary on the second cd-rom). Next, slide the cd-rom into the case using the top slot available. You should have gotten 4 screws with your cd-rom. Align the holes located on each side of the cd-rom with the holes located on the brackets in the case.

Next we will go on to installing the floppy drive if you choose to use one. This will be inserted below the cd-rom. Simply align the floppy drive the same as you would your cd-rom, align screw holes and tighten screws.

Next is the hard drive. These will be installed under the floppy drive:

1 drive: the jumper setting will be set to master/primary, 2 drives: The 1st drive will be set to master/primary, the 2nd to slave/secondary...align screw holes and tighten screws.

Now the installation of the motherboard/CPU/memory as a unit into the case:

Locate the ground screws you have installed, (make sure you have only installed the proper amount needed for the proper amount of mounting holes on your motherboard), align the holes on your motherboard with the screws. Use the red washes which came with the case accessories, 1 for each screw. Tighten screws into grounding supports *DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN*

Once these are snuggly tightened down, it is now time to run your power wires and ATA cables.
