exclamation Horrible aliasing noise on Right Channel!

Hello,

I'm new to the Kx driver, I wanted to get my latency down with Cubase and VST. In this regard it's been great, but since installing it all my other audio sounds terrible.

I've done a few searches here and found nothing so I've decided to kick off a new thread.

My setup:-

Athlon xp1800+
Asus A7V333
Win XP
512Mb Ram
100Gb HD
Sb Live! 5.1

Basically, everything that comes from the Right output sounds like its an 8-bit sample, all nasal and whiny, while the Left side is smooth as ever.
This even happens using the SPDIF out as well, monitoring with a Sony DA, and I've tried swapping back and front speakers to no avail.

Any ideas? Please!

Smilie

Darn, I thought I'd already tried that, obviously not!

Seems to be okay now, fantastic!

Cheers Max,

Pissed

Must've been really late when I tried it, ie. dreaming!

Sounds as horrible as before, even through the SPDIF.

What the *&^$

ok...

so.. let's find out your model info
(kx->about...->"hw/sw cfg")

then.. does this happen only with winamp?

do you use any "cpu cooling" software?
(it could be anything actually - for example. some motherboard monitor from asus cd)

then...
check out if live shares IRQ with other devices (e.g. ide controller)...

try to unload reverb and chorus modules in "kx dsp"...
