NeverWinter Nights demo bug?

Hiya,

I've used the kX drivers with my original SB Live! Value card for over a year and a half now, and they're bloddy awesome - thanks muchly for them ;)

I originally got the drivers when I was setting up a few machines for production type people, they're by far the best ASIO drivers for the cards I've seen. I've also been using them on my home computer, which I mainly use for gaming/mp3's, because the creative drivers always seemed to do strange things :-(

The drivers have worked perfectly with every game I've thrown to it yet - but they simply don't like the NWN demo (or perhaps the other way around, not sure). On sound init, the game locks up and won't load. If I disable sound, it works perfectly.

Oh, and a question - for my needs (gaming/winamp), which are the better drivers to use - the Creative ones, or the kX drivers? The kX drivers give out awesome sound quality, I can't even remember what the Creative ones sound like. Will enviromental sound in games and such be better with the Creative drivers?

Anyway, kX is not for games (maybe NWN enables EAX or something by default that isn't supported by kX).
For games use Audigy2 CD drivers (they work on Live! and Audigy). I use them atm because I wanted to see how they work - and they work very good (not good as kX, look pretty unfinished).

solution for you problem is to delete a3d.dll and a3dapi.dll from system32 directory and restart.
then in the game try to see what is working for you.
Light HRTF or Full HRTF?
with Full HRTF i get some clicks here.
