2x Front (stereo) output

I've searched trough Topics and documentation but I couldn't find an answer. I have a SB0102 5.1 soundcard and an AC97 compatible onboard card. To prevent me from splitting the front output signal I would like 2x Front (stereo) output. How could I accomplish that? Is it possible to transfer a Line in/ Mic in to an extra Front out? Or is it possible to use the AC97 onboard card as an extra Front output? If someone has a solution for this. Please explain (maybe with some configuration files)

Thanks in advance

do you mean you want two seperate outputs to be the "front" signal?

if using default DSP - set the surrounder to "copy"

if using custom, connect the front signal to both the front and rear outputs on the epilog module

No. I would like to keep my 5.1 setup. But I want an extra Stereo Front channel. And I would like to do that with software, without splitting cables or so.

I'm sorry that I'm not able to answer that clear

This is only possible if you use a digital output from the AUD_EXT-header and then convert it to an analogue signal. Rerouting of analog inputs into outputs is impossible by software due to hardware limitation.

with you onboard sound, check your motherboard manual to see if it has SPDIF IN
if it does, simply connect one of the digital outputs on the AUD_EXT to the input on the motherboard (using the cd digital cable that came with the CL soundcard)

and you should be right from there. Travelrec, i'm sure can tell you which of the pins on the AUD_EXT correspond to the front output.

AUD_EXT pin 17 is hot, pin 18 is ground, check connection diagram on www.electricstart.de under electronics section / "Application circuit to connect...".
