SB Live! CT4670 - No wmvhd surround with KX? Logarithmic volume scaling / 4ch Timbre

SB-Live! Value
KX 5.10.0.3537

Get a testfile here [Mirror1] and try to play it correctly with sb live! value (ct4670). Works flawless with creative drivers. Center substitute is L,R. Subwoofer substituted by all 4 speakers. I tried several settings (windows 4.0, 5.1, KX 4.1, KX 4.0), Device=0/1 without success. Can someone help me with it?

- Is it possible to change windows volume slider behaviour to logarithmic scaling like creative drivers do?
- Timbre plugin with 4 inputs possible? Allowing same settings for front and back speakers (quadraphonic) without using 2 plugins.

wmv - windows?

if that requires DRM or some other certification kX does not support it

EDIT:
don't use the windows sound mixer
use kX

and simply load another timbre plugin and save the settings on one so you can load it on the other

I can't download the test file from the website. I get redirected to the front page. It's frustrating.

Same here. Downloads seem deactivated atm.
Get the file here. Download

@dj_stick:
No DRM or similar but this wmv may need advanced API only available in WinXP so don't try it with win2k. more...
I reinstalled creative drivers and its working again. I didn't get it to work with kx. I tried ms media player 10 and zoom player with extended speaker support.
If i remember correctly the kx volume slider moves exactly the same (parallel) with the windows volume slider (linear scaling) so no logarithmic scaling here either.

most advanced MS stuff like that, aswell as SPDIF out from wmp require certified drivers, maybe simply WHQL certified, which kX isn't
